This product is a pre-cut die-cut masking set from the Czech maker Eduard intended for a plastic model of the American Curtiss P-40K Warhawk fighter in 1:72 scale. It is not an aircraft model but a set of self-adhesive masks made of modeling tape, which make clean and accurate spraying easier.
The masks follow the shape of the canopy frames exactly and as a rule the wheel rims as well. With a mask in place the clear part stays clean after spraying and the frames get crisp edges of the right scale width, with no laborious cutting of tape. The result is cleaner and quicker than masking by hand.
The masks are lifted carefully off the sheet, transferred onto the clear part with tweezers and pressed down. The canopy is masked, any gaps are filled with a piece of tape or masking fluid, and then the spraying is done. Once the paint is dry the masks are removed. The material follows the curve of the canopy well.
This is an accessory, not the model itself. The kit, the glue and the paints are not included in the package.
