Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the American fighter Curtiss P-40M Warhawk in 1:72 scale from the Hobby Boss production. The model belongs to the simplified Easy Assembly line with a low part count and large one-piece sections of the airframe. The package contains decals for two markings; the exact contents may differ according to the release.
The P-40M was one of the later versions of the well-known Warhawk with the liquid-cooled V12 Allison V-1710. It was derived from the P-40K variant, and its recognition marks are the longer fuselage and small external details, for example the cooling grille. The Warhawks were among the most widespread Allied fighters of the first half of the war and they flew with the American, the British (as the Kittyhawk) and further Allied air forces. Although at high altitude they lagged behind newer fighters, at low and medium altitudes they were tenacious, well armed and popular for their tough structure.
Glue the large airframe parts with thin cement for plastic and sand the joints down. Paint the cockpit before closing the fuselage. Apply the typical Allied schemes (olive upper surface, light lower) with an airbrush over primer, pick out the panel lines with a wash and add fine wear.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
