Eduard P-51B/C masks 1:72 is a pre-cut self-adhesive masking set for a model of the American P-51 Mustang fighter. It gives sharp paint transitions on the glazing, the wheels and the camouflage. It is not a model, but a masking aid.
Responsibility details are not available.
This pre-cut self-adhesive Eduard masking set in 1:72 scale is intended for a plastic model of the American North American P-51 Mustang fighter in its early B and C versions with the framed canopy. It is not a kit and it is not a model in its own right, but a set of precisely shaped masks made of thin yellow masking tape (kabuki). The masks will be appreciated by modelers who want sharp paint transitions on the glazing, the wheels and the camouflage areas without lengthy cutting of tape by hand.
The North American P-51 Mustang is an American single-engine fighter of the Second World War with a liquid-cooled V12 engine. It was precisely on the B and C versions that the Mustang received the British Merlin engine built under license, which gave it excellent performance at high altitude and long range. The early versions kept the framed cockpit canopy; only the later D version got the bubble type.
Degrease the glazing of the framed canopy and let it dry. Take the masks off the backing and lay them on the frame of the windshield and on the sliding sections, pressing them into the edges. Spray the paint with an airbrush in thin coats. The wheel masks separate the tire from the rim. Once the paint is dry, peel them off carefully at a sharp angle so that the fresh coat is not damaged.
The package contains masks only. The model, paints, glue and decals are not included, unless stated otherwise.
