The set contains resin parts of the radar antenna carried by the later patrol versions of the PBY Catalina flying boat. The castings from the Czech brand Quickboost are finer and sharper than anything that can be managed in plastic, and they give a model the characteristic look of a maritime patrol aircraft.
The antenna is fitted to the fuselage, or under the wings depending on the particular version. It is a visible element that immediately sets a later radar-equipped Catalina apart from the basic variant.
Cut the parts carefully from the casting blocks, wash off the mold release residue and glue them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The thin sections are fragile, so handle them with care. Protect your airways when sanding resin.
