Eduard Pe-8 masks 1:72 is a cut self-adhesive masking set for a model of the Soviet Pe-8 heavy bomber. It allows sharp color transitions on the glazing and the wheels. It is not a model but a masking aid.
Responsibility details are not available.
This cut self-adhesive Eduard masking set in 1:72 scale is intended for a plastic model of the Soviet four-engine Pe-8 bomber. It is not a kit or a model in its own right but a set of precisely shaped masks in thin yellow masking tape. The masks help to create clean frames on the extensive glazing of the nose, the cockpit and the gun positions and a sharp separation of the tires from the hubs.
The Petlyakov Pe-8 was a Soviet four-engine heavy bomber of the Second World War and the only four-engine bomber the Soviet Union used in any numbers. It served for long-range raids deep behind enemy lines and became known among other things for bombing distant targets. It was a large aircraft with a spacious glazed nose section and defensive gun positions.
Degrease the glazing before applying the masks and let it dry. Lift the individual masks off the backing with tweezers and place them on the canopy frames, press them into the edges and fill any gaps with a strip of tape. Spray the paint with an airbrush in two thin coats so that it does not creep under the edge of the mask. The wheel masks separate the tire from the hub. Once the paint has dried, peel the masks off carefully at a sharp angle.
The package holds only the masks. The model, paints, glue and decals are not included, unless stated otherwise.
