Percival P.50 Prince (G-AMLZ) 1:72: the civil form of the British transport high-wing aircraft in a kit from Valom; the registration belongs to a machine preserved in Liverpool.
Responsibility details are not available.
Alongside the military versions, Valom also offers the civil Prince: a short-run kit in 1:72 scale carrying the registration G-AMLZ, an aircraft built in 1951 as an executive transport for a fuel company. The machine has survived to this day and is on display, cared for by enthusiasts, at the former Liverpool Speke airport, so you are building a model with a well documented history.
The Prince came about at the end of the 1940s as a general-purpose light transport for companies and smaller airlines. The high-wing layout gave the cabin an uninterrupted space, and the Alvis Leonides radial engines gave it a reliability proven in military service. A whole family grew out of the design, from naval couriers to the military Pembroke with a lengthened wing, and a number of civil examples flew photogrammetric and calibration duties all over the world.
A glossy corporate scheme comes out only on a carefully smoothed surface: once the parts are glued, go over the joints with a sanding sponge and unify them with a base. The cabin windows are worth masking and spraying together with the fuselage, and the frames are then simply revealed. Fit the landing gear right at the end, so that the fragile legs do not get in the way while the model is handled.
This is an unassembled kit with no paint applied; the paints and the glue are bought separately.
