A set of precisely cut self-adhesive masks of kabuki tape for plastic models of the Soviet twin-engine dive bomber Petlyakov Pe-2 in 1:72 scale. It contains masks of the glazed parts and other clear areas and masks of the wheels. It is not a kit but an aid for spraying the extensive glazing of this aircraft cleanly.
The Pe-2 was one of the most widespread Soviet frontline bombers of the Second World War, deployed in the role of a reconnaissance and ground attack aircraft as well. It was distinguished by an extensively glazed pilot's compartment and navigator's station, whose many small frames are laborious to mask freehand.
Degrease the glazing, carry the individual masks with tweezers and press them down carefully along the frames, so that the paint does not bleed under them. Apply thin coats and take the masks off while the finish is still flexible. Wheels with separated hubs can easily be divided into tire and rim.
This is a masking set, not a model. The paints, the glue and the kit are not included in the package.
