This injection-molded plastic kit in 1:72 scale captures the early Ausf.B version of the German Panzer IV medium tank. The box holds the parts on sprues, a decal sheet and instructions. The small scale makes it a suitable project for collectors of armor as well as for building larger combat scenes and dioramas.
The Panzer IV was the backbone of the German armored forces throughout the Second World War. The early Ausf.B form was marked by a short gun for infantry support and by differences on the hull and the turret compared with later versions. Only a limited number of these early machines was built, so they represent a less usual face of a well-known tank.
Assemble and fine-tune the running gear and the lower hull before you close the upper parts up. A primer base and thin coats of paint from an airbrush are recommended. Mud and dust effects and weathering are brought out with washes and pigments at the end; cut the small parts away carefully and glue them with thin cement for plastic.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
