1:72 RA-5C Vigilante USS NIMITZ 1978 / part 3 decal sheet

The decal sheet RA-5C Vigilante / USS Nimitz 1978, part 3 (1:72, HAD Models)

A waterslide decal sheet with markings for the American carrier aircraft RA-5C Vigilante in the period of its service with an aircraft carrier in 1978. It is neither a kit nor a model but a set of decals meant for models of the RA-5C Vigilante in 1:72 scale. As part 3 it completes the previous sheets for this type.

The real subject

The RA-5C Vigilante was a large supersonic carrier reconnaissance aircraft of the US Navy. Toward the end of the 1970s more modern machines were replacing it in the squadrons, so this is a late chapter of its service.

Use

• Apply onto a gloss, smooth varnish.
• Use a decal softener so that it settles into the details.
• Once it has dried, go over it with a protective varnish.
• Go by the placement diagram enclosed.

Who it is for

• Modelers of US Navy carrier aircraft of the late 1970s.
• Collectors who combine markings from several sheets.

This is a decal sheet, not a model. The aircraft is not included in the package.
