This injection-molded plastic kit from UM in 1:72 scale represents the German Le.Sp type light armored railway car in its reconnaissance configuration. The set holds plastic parts for the armored body of the car plus extra photo-etched parts.
Le.Sp light armored railway cars served to scout and secure the line ahead of an advancing armored train. They were smaller and faster than the heavy cars of the S.Sp series, carried lighter armament and could run on their own as a forward patrol. The German army fielded these vehicles at the end of the Second World War.
Give attention to assembling the armored body and the running bogies. The car comes into its own in a diorama with track or as a companion to the heavier cars of an armored train. Use liquid cement on the plastic; we recommend a primer, an airbrush and weathering with washes and pigments.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
