1:72 Russian Grenadiers - Napoleonic Wars

The real subject

Grenadiers were the elite infantry in the armies of the Napoleonic era. Tall, proven soldiers were chosen for their ranks and they were recognizable at first glance by the tall plumed cap, which made a figure look even bigger. In the Russian army the infantry wore dark green coats with colored facings and light trousers, and the main weapon was a muzzle-loading musket with a fixed bayonet. The Russian infantry met Napoleon in a whole series of campaigns and made its greatest mark in history with the defense of 1812.

What the set offers

In 1:72 scale a standing figure measures roughly 24 millimeters, a size in which genuinely large scenes can be built: ranks of infantry, squares against cavalry and columns on the march. The figures suit a diorama, models of guns and wagons in the same scale and also serve as an addition to military tabletop games.

• Figures of Russian grenadiers of the Napoleonic Wars
• Scale 1:72, a standing figure corresponds to roughly 24 mm
• Intended for painting and for building battle scenes
• Suitable alongside artillery and wagons in the same scale

Building and painting tips

Cut the excess material off with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the rest gently, because on figures this small a really light touch is enough. Wash and degrease the figures before painting and choose the glue according to the material of the parts, with the particular procedure given in the manufacturer's instructions. Paint in thin coats, otherwise the buttons and cords on the coats will be lost. A base shade, a dark shadow in the folds and finally drybrushing on the edges work well, and the faces and the white belting will stand out that way without laborious outlining.

Who it is for

For builders of dioramas of the Napoleonic Wars and for players of historical battles. Paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
