The Soviet KV-2 heavy tank with the 107 mm ZiS-6 gun in 1:72 scale as a plastic kit from Trumpeter.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet KV-2 heavy tank in the configuration with the 107 mm ZiS-6 gun, in 1:72 scale from Trumpeter. The compact model contains a one-piece lower hull, a separate turret and a display base; the exact package contents are given in the instructions.
The KV-2 was a Soviet heavy tank with a tall turret, armed as standard with a 152 mm howitzer. Fitting the more powerful 107 mm ZiS-6 gun remained at the level of designs and trials and never reached series service in this form; the combination also became widely known thanks to computer games. The model captures this variant as a what-if configuration.
The smaller scale puts the emphasis on a clean treatment of the joints and the barrel. Use liquid cement for plastic and thin coats of paint, so that the details are not lost. Apply a primer before painting; washes and fine pigments suit the patina. The model can be displayed on the enclosed base.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
