It is not an aircraft kit but a big detail set that brings several areas of superdetailing for the carrier-based S-3A Viking together in one package. The fine castings raise the fidelity of a model beyond a production kit.

The real subject

The Lockheed S-3 Viking is an American carrier-based aircraft originally intended for action against submarines, later used for reconnaissance, aerial refueling and other tasks as well. It operated from the decks of US Navy aircraft carriers.

Building and painting tips

First wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and clean them up with respiratory protection. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Given the scope of the set we recommend building in sections, with a primer underneath and the detail then shaded with washes and pigments.
