1:72 Letov S-328 ski landing gear is a photo-etched accessory set for a kit you have already bought, not an airplane model: a set of skis replacing the wheeled landing gear of the Letov S-328 biplane in 1:72 scale.

This is an accessory to a kit under construction, not a model of the aircraft. The Czech maker Brengun supplies the set as a photo-etched fret; the parts are cut out of it and fitted in place of the wheels from the original molding. The set is cut for the Special Hobby kit, so the attachments match its landing gear legs.
The Letov S-328 was a Czechoslovak two-seat biplane of the 1930s, used for reconnaissance and as a light combat machine. On aircraft of this generation the wheeled landing gear was routinely exchanged for skis in winter: on a snow-covered, icy airfield wheels sank in, while skis spread the weight and allowed operations even where the surface was not maintained. For a modeler it is a variant that turns an ordinary machine into a model with a completely different feel: the silhouette changes, the aircraft sits lower and the scene almost asks to be set in a winter setting.
From a modeling point of view a ski is a thin plate with stiffening and hinges, exactly the kind of shape that injected plastic cannot render at scale thickness. Etched sheet in tenths of a millimeter gives the lower surface a clean edge and the leading bend the right shape. Reckon, though, on the bends and the stiffening calling for patience and a bending tool.
Cut the parts off with a scalpel on a hard surface and level the remains of the tabs with a file. Make the bends in a bending tool, and on longer parts slowly and evenly; warm stiffer material briefly before bending so that it does not crack. Being level is the key: the skis have to rest on the surface over their whole area and both sides must have the same angle, otherwise the model stands crooked and it shows at first glance. Test dry, set the model up on a glass board and glue with super glue only once you have checked it. Degrease the metal with alcohol before painting and spray it with a primer for metals. Leave the underside of the skis smoother and glossier than the rest of the machine, as that is exactly where snow polishes it.
This is an accessory set, not a kit. The model, glue, paints and tools are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
