A resin detail part, not an airplane kit. This finely cast resin set replaces the exhausts of the American Curtiss SB2C-4 Helldiver carrier dive bomber in 1:72 scale. The exhaust stacks of the radial engine are captured in the casting with hollowed outlets and clean edges, so there is no laborious drilling of the plastic parts from the box.
The exhausts around the engine cowling are very much in view on the Helldiver and how they are made strongly affects the overall impression of a model. A resin casting offers thin walls and open outlets that are hard to create from solid plastic. Once painted in metal and rusty shades and lightly weathered, the burnt metal looks entirely natural.
This is a resin detail accessory, not a model. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
