This is a photo-etched detail set, not a kit. It concentrates on the landing gear of models of the American Curtiss SB2C-5 Helldiver carrier dive bomber in 1:72 scale. It sharpens up the landing gear bays, the legs and the mechanism, which cannot be captured faithfully in plastic. It is made by the Czech firm Eduard, a leading name in photo-etched parts.
The landing gear bays and legs are among the most visible places on an aircraft model. The photo-etched parts add fine ribs, covers and mechanism that make the gear area look realistic and full.
Cut the parts from the fret with a sharp knife and use a photo-etch bending tool to shape the covers. They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate) or with glue for photo-etched parts. Degrease the metal and spray it with primer before painting.
This is an accessory, not an aircraft model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
