Peewit - cut painting masks for the SB2U Vindicator, 1:72 scale are a self-adhesive masking set for plastic models, not a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A precisely cut self-adhesive masking set from Peewit for plastic models of the carrier-based dive bomber Vought SB2U Vindicator in 1:72 scale. It is not a model and not a kit but a painting accessory that is bought separately. The masks are cut to the shape of the cockpit glazing and other surfaces of the model, so you spray the frames with sharp edges and no slow cutting out of tape. The material adapts to the curvature of the canopy, holds on the edge and leaves no adhesive on the part once lifted.
The Vought SB2U Vindicator was an American carrier-based dive bomber of the US Navy from the 1930s and the first monoplane in that role. It served aboard aircraft carriers and saw combat at, among other places, the Battle of Midway in 1942, where the Marine Corps flew it as well. Because of the rapid arrival of more modern machines it was withdrawn to training units by 1943. It carried its bomb on a swinging crutch, which took the bomb clear of the propeller in a steep dive.
Degrease the glazing before starting and let it dry. Transfer the masks with tweezers, lay them into the frames and press the edges down with a toothpick against bleeding. Spray the shade of the frame first, then the primer and the camouflage, and lift the masks while the paint is fresh.
This is a masking set, not a model. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
