An injection-molded plastic kit of the turboprop version of the Italian SIAI-Marchetti SF-260TP trainer in 1:72 scale from Kovozavody Prostejov. The set contains parts in gray plastic, a clear canopy and a decal sheet with color schemes.
The SF-260TP came about by converting the successful piston-engined SF-260 to turboprop power. The turbine engine brought higher performance as well as operational reliability, thanks to which the aircraft served for advanced training and, in many countries, also as a light attack and counterinsurgency machine. A lengthened nose with the turboprop unit is characteristic. The combination of easy handling and low operating costs made it a popular machine with smaller air forces.
Clean up the small parts and sand the joints. Paint the cockpit interior before closing up the fuselage. For clean transitions between shades, use an airbrush and masking; apply gloss clear before the decals and even the surface out with a flat coat. Bring the antennas and the external stores to life with a dry brush.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
