Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet Petlyakov Pe-2 twin-engined bomber in 1:72 scale from Hobby Boss. It is a kit from the range with simplified, straightforward construction (easy assembly), suitable for less experienced modelers too. The kit has finely engraved panel lines and clear parts for the glazing. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The Petlyakov Pe-2 was one of the most significant Soviet combat aircraft of the Second World War. Designed originally as a high-altitude fighter, it was reworked into a fast twin-engined dive bomber and became the backbone of the Soviet frontline bomber force. It was marked by high speed, good agility and versatility: it was used for dive and level bombing and on reconnaissance duties. Thousands were built.
Finish and paint the glazed nose and the cockpit before you close the fuselage up; mask the glazing so that it stays clear. Fill and sand the engine nacelles and the fuselage joints. Lay the base down over a primer; the typical Soviet green and black upper camouflage with a blue-gray underside stands out once the panels have been picked out discreetly with a wash. Fit the landing gear and the propellers at the end, so that they are not in the way during painting.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
