Responsibility details are not available.
This resin set of the Quickboost brand from the Czech manufacturer Aires brings a faithfully cast replacement propeller for a model of the British Supermarine Spitfire Mk. XIV fighter in 1:72 scale. It is not an airplane model but a detail accessory for more experienced modelers. A simple jig is included that helps glue the propeller blades at the correct angle and symmetrically.
The Supermarine Spitfire Mk. XIV was a late version of the legendary British fighter of the Second World War, powered by the potent V12 Rolls-Royce Griffon engine. Compared with the earlier Merlin Spitfires it had a more prominent nose, a longer cowling and a massive multi-blade propeller. It was deployed at the close of the war among other things to intercept German V-1 flying bombs.
First wash the castings in lukewarm soapy water so that any mold release residue is removed. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw and sand the cut surfaces with respiratory protection. Bond the parts with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue), not with plastic cement. Assemble the blades with the help of the enclosed jig, so that both the angle and the spacing come out right.
The set is supplied as a resin part, unassembled and unpainted. It is not an airplane model but an accessory for a plastic kit. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
