Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit in 1:72 scale from the Czech maker Kovozavody Prostejov. The release is aimed at machines operating over Yugoslavia and the Balkans. The particular number of decal schemes and the composition of the package are stated on the packaging and in the manufacturer's instructions.
The Supermarine Spitfire Mk.V was the most numerously produced variant of the whole Spitfire family. It was powered by the Rolls-Royce Merlin 45 series V12 engine. The letter c denotes the so-called universal wing, which allowed alternative armament fits, among them a combination of cannons and machine guns. The suffix Trop means tropicalization: under the front of the fuselage a bulky dust filter on the intake is visible, without which the engine would soon have suffered in the dusty conditions of the Mediterranean and North Africa. It was exactly in this form that Mk.Vc Spitfires operated over the Balkans and the Adriatic.
The characteristic tropical filter is the dominant element of the silhouette on this version, so pay attention to sanding it down and blending it into the fuselage. The elliptical wing of the Spitfire rewards careful filling of the leading edge. Before the decals, spray the area with a gloss clear coat compatible with the paint used, and once dry apply a matte varnish. For a dusty operational environment a discreet dry brush and fine pigments on the lower surfaces and the landing gear suit well, but do not overdo it for the Mediterranean, because an excess of dirt looks unconvincing in a small scale.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
