Eduard Brassin 1:72 Spitfire Mk.VIII top cowl is a resin replacement top engine cowling cast in one piece for Spitfire Mk.VIII models in 1:72 scale. It is a detail accessory, not a model in its own right.
Responsibility details are not available.
This resin part from Eduard replaces the top engine cowling, cast in one piece, for Spitfire Mk.VIII models in 1:72 scale. The resin casting captures the shape and surface detail of the cowling more accurately than injected plastic, and there is no gluing together of several parts. It is not an airplane model but an aftermarket accessory that sharpens one particular section of a kit.
The Supermarine Spitfire Mk.VIII was an improved version of the British fighter with a strengthened structure and a Rolls-Royce Merlin engine, used above all in overseas theaters. The shape of the top engine cowling is characteristic for recognizing the version, which is why it is worth concentrating on.
Wash the mold release residue off the casting and carefully separate it from the casting block. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Try the joint with the plastic fuselage dry and, if needed, sand it gently with your breathing protected. Degrease the surface before spraying paint.
The set is an accessory, not a model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
