An injection-molded plastic kit of the Swedish Stridsvagn m/40 L light tank in 1:72 scale from the Polish manufacturer IBG. It is a well-detailed smaller model with a carefully worked running gear and link-and-length tracks. The package contains plastic parts and decals. The model suits collectors of less usual Scandinavian vehicles.
The Stridsvagn m/40 L was a Swedish light tank based on the Landsverk L-60 design of the mid-1930s. The m/40 L version brought a modified turret and thicker armor while keeping the 37 mm gun as its main armament. The Swedish army took over roughly a hundred of these vehicles in 1941 and 1942. Some of the tanks later served abroad as well, where a few survived in service into later decades.
Use liquid cement for plastic. Assemble the link-and-length tracks patiently in sections and finish the running gear before closing up the hull. Apply a primer before finishing and spray the colors with an airbrush. Contrasting camouflage schemes show to advantage on Swedish vehicles; washes and pigments help bring out the running gear and add dust effects. Glue the small parts and the stowage carefully.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
