An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet fighter-bomber with a variable-geometry wing, known under the designations Su-17 (domestic) and Su-22 (export), in 1:72 scale in a boxing from the Bilek brand. It comes from a proven injection mold of the type. The package holds plastic parts, clear parts for the canopy and decals.
The Su-17 and its export variants the Su-22 were among the widespread Soviet ground attack and strike aircraft. The characteristic feature is a variable-geometry wing, which combined good takeoff qualities with high speed. The machines served with a number of air forces and carried a wide spectrum of bomb and rocket armament for the support of ground troops.
Glue the parts with thin cement for plastic and pay attention to the mechanism and the fit of the movable wing. Apply a primer before painting. Soviet and export schemes tend to be multicolored; an airbrush makes both hard and soft transitions easier. Apply gloss varnish under the decals and unify the surface with matte varnish.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
