Eduard 1:72 Su-34 - painting masks

A set of self-adhesive painting masks from the Czech maker Eduard made of kabuki paper (washi). They serve for accurate masking of the frames of the cabin glazing while paint is sprayed onto the plastic model of the Su-34 aircraft in 1:72 scale. It is an accessory for painting, not a model.

The real subject

The Sukhoi Su-34, Fullback in the NATO code, is a Russian twin-engine ground-attack aircraft and fighter-bomber with a characteristically wide forward fuselage and a cabin for a crew of two sitting side by side. The type is intended above all for attacks on ground targets.

Use and tips

• Apply the masks exactly to the shape of the frames of the cabin glazing.
• Press the edges down so that paint does not run under the mask.
• Spray the paint in fine coats with an airbrush.
• Remove the masks before the paint has fully cured.

Who the set is for

• Modelers building the Su-34 in 1:72 scale.
• Anyone who wants sharp paint transitions on the glazing.
• Beginners and advanced modelers who want to speed masking up.

This is an accessory for a plastic model. The model itself, paints and glue are not included in the package.
