Injection-molded plastic kit of the legendary British fighter Supermarine Spitfire Mk.Vc in 1:72 scale from Airfix. It is a modern tooling with delicate surface relief, suitable for less experienced modelers as well. The box contains plastic parts, a clear cockpit part, decals and instructions. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The Spitfire Mk.V was one of the most widespread versions of this famous British fighter. It was powered by a Rolls-Royce Merlin engine and the variant with the C type wing (the universal wing) allowed various combinations of armament. These machines served not only over Britain but also in the Mediterranean and North Africa, where they often carried a dust filter under the nose. The Spitfire became a symbol of the Royal Air Force of the Second World War.
Glue the joints with liquid cement for plastic. Protect the cockpit and the clear canopy with masks and spray over a base coat (primer). British and Mediterranean camouflage schemes have both crisp and soft transitions, and an airbrush handles both. Apply a gloss coat before the decals and unify the surface afterwards with a matte coat. The fine panel lines come out with a light wash.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
