An injection-molded plastic kit of the improvised artillery piece known as the Hell Cannon, in 1:72 scale from ACE. It is a short-run kit that captures the simple carriage and barrel characteristic of this improvised construction. The package holds parts of the frame, the barrel and the carriage.
Hell Cannon is a collective name for the improvised artillery devices that were put together from commonly available materials during the conflict in Syria. The construction was simple and transportable, and it fired improvised ammunition. From a modeling point of view it is an unusual subject documenting field improvisation in present-day conflicts.
As with short-run kits, expect to clean up the parts more carefully. Use thin cement for plastic and dry-fit the parts first. We recommend a primer, an airbrush and then washes, rust and dust pigments for a faithfully weathered and improvised finish. The model also works well as an element of a diorama.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
