A plastic kit of the Soviet T-34/85 medium tank in 1:72 scale from the Snap Kit range by Zvezda. The model is designed as a snap-fit build, so the basic assembly is possible without glue, as the parts fit into one another. The set contains plastic parts and decals and, thanks to its simplicity, it is ideal for beginners and for wargaming.
The T-34/85 was the most capable production variant of the famous Soviet T-34 medium tank. Compared with the earlier versions it received a larger cast turret with a three-man crew and a powerful 85mm gun, which markedly improved its combat value. The tank played a decisive part in the fighting on the Eastern Front at the end of the Second World War and then served for decades with armies all over the world. The combination of decent armor, penetration and simple maintenance made it one of the most widespread tanks in history.
Although this is a snap-fit kit, we recommend backing the joints up with liquid cement for strength and filling the small gaps. Once the primer is on, lay down a dark green base with an airbrush, bring out the tracks and running gear with washes and add pigments for mud and dust effects. The model is easy to finish off with the decals.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
