Eduard 1:72 TBF/TBM-1 Avenger — landing flaps is a photo-etched detail set for a faithful rendering of the lowered landing flaps on a model of the Avenger carrier torpedo bomber.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a photo-etched detail set of fine brass parts, not a stand-alone model. The set is meant for refining the landing flaps of a model of the TBF/TBM Avenger torpedo bomber in 1:72 scale and lets you show the flaps in the lowered position with the realistic internal structure that plastic parts usually only suggest.
The Grumman TBF (and the TBM built under license by General Motors) was an American carrier torpedo bomber used in the Pacific during the Second World War. The rugged machine with its roomy bomb bay was one of the mainstays of the carrier aviation of the US Navy.
The parts are cut out of the fret with a sharp knife, shaped with a bending tool or tweezers and glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) or two-part epoxy, not with plastic cement. Before painting it is best to degrease the metal and treat it with a primer for good adhesion.
This is a detailing accessory, not an aircraft model. The basic plastic kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
