Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Japanese U-125A search and rescue aircraft in 1:72 scale from Sword. It is a short-run kit supplemented with resin and photo-etched parts; the box offers two striking anniversary color schemes of Japan Air Self-Defense Force machines.
The U-125A is the search and rescue (SAR) variant derived from the British BAe 125 business jet. The Japan Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF) uses it to look for downed or shipwrecked crews - it carries a search radar, observation windows and containers with rescue equipment that it can drop to survivors. For the anniversaries of their squadrons, individual machines received eye-catching commemorative finishes.
A short-run kit will be appreciated rather by a more experienced modeler: expect to clean up the remains of the molding and to dry-fit the parts. Glue the plastic with thin modeling cement and the resin parts with cyanoacrylate glue after washing off the mold release agent; bend the photo-etched parts over a sharp edge. Mask the cockpit glazing and unify the surface with primer. Anniversary schemes tend to be colorful and to use large decals - put a smooth gloss coat under them so that the decals settle without silvering.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
