The UH-1 Iroquois, nicknamed the Huey, is one of the best known helicopters in the world. It was created for the US Army and became famous in the Vietnam War as a transport, medical and support machine with the characteristic sound of its two-blade main rotor. The UH-1D version had a lengthened cabin with more room for cargo and troops. In service with a number of armies the Huey lasted for decades.
On a helicopter, finish and paint the cabin interior and the cockpit first, because the large glazing gives a good view inside. Fit the glazing with masks so that the frames stay clean. Assemble the main and tail rotors separately and glue them on at the very end, so that the model is easy to paint and handle. Spray the base over a primer; apply the olive military scheme with an airbrush and bring out the panel lines with a fine wash.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
