This is a detail set, not an aircraft model. It contains US 500 lb aircraft bombs of the general-purpose high-explosive type, made by direct 3D printing in resin. They serve to load the pylons of Allied aircraft models of the Second World War and the postwar era realistically.
US 500 lb bombs were among the most widespread aircraft weapons in their class and were carried by a whole range of fighter-bombers and heavy bombers. A faithful rendering including the fins and the fuzes raises the realism of the load.
Wash the parts free of uncured resin residue and separate them from the print supports. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue. Spray the bombs with an airbrush; markings and color bands can be added with decals or with a mask. Matching the shade to the particular operational use of the aircraft works well.
This is an accessory for plastic models. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
