Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit in 1:72 scale from the Japanese manufacturer FineMolds. It captures the F-4C version of the Phantom II aircraft in the colors of the American National Guard (the Air National Guard). The kit is known for its fine production quality; it offers decals for several National Guard markings from the first half of the 1980s. The first release also contained two seated pilot figures as a bonus.
The F-4 Phantom II was a powerful twin-engined two-seat fighter and strike aircraft and one of the most widespread Western combat aircraft of the Cold War. The F-4C version was the first production variant of the US Air Force derived from the naval Phantom. After being withdrawn from the front line, a number of Phantoms served for a long time with National Guard units, which kept them at combat readiness and not infrequently carried more colorful markings than the machines of the regular air force.
Glue the joints with a liquid modeling cement. Mask the glazed cockpit, even out the surface with a primer and apply the colors with an airbrush. With National Guard schemes a glossier surface and striking colored unit markings often come into play, which suit a gloss varnish under the decals and a subsequent matte or semi-gloss varnish.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
