Kabuki painting masks Eduard 1:72 Victor B Mk.2 (BS) for accurate masking of the glazing and the wheels while painting the kit of the Handley Page Victor strategic bomber. It is not a model but an accessory.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of self-adhesive Eduard painting masks in 1:72 scale, intended for masking the glazed areas and the wheels while the plastic kit of the Handley Page Victor B Mk.2 bomber in the Blue Steel missile carrier version is painted. The masks are cut from thin Japanese kabuki tape, which conforms well to the shape of the parts, stays in place and leaves no tacky traces when removed. The package holds pre-cut pieces on one or more sheets. Note that this is a modeling accessory, not the aircraft kit itself.
The Handley Page Victor was a British four-engine jet strategic bomber of the V-bomber family, serving with the Royal Air Force during the Cold War. Its crescent wing was characteristic. The B Mk.2 version was a higher-performing variant with more powerful engines and a modified wing; in the role of carrier for the Blue Steel guided missile it was to provide a long-range nuclear deterrent. Later a number of Victors were converted into aerial tankers.
First degrease the glazing carefully and stick the masks on following the shape of the frames; press the edges down with a toothpick so that paint does not run under the film. We recommend spraying in fine coats, as excess paint only makes bleeding worse. The wheel masks make it possible to separate the tire from the disc cleanly. Once the paint has dried, lift the film off carefully, ideally before the finish has fully cured.
The masks are an accessory for painting. The kit, paints, glue and other materials are not included in the package.
