A historic gas station, version B, in 1:72 scale is a stand-alone object of a scene for a diorama. A period pump as a striking dominant feature of a road scene.
Responsibility details are not available.
The item brings a period gas station as a scenic prop for a diorama, not as a kit of a vehicle. The designation version B is the distinguishing detail, because version A is also made; you can therefore choose the form that better matches your subject, or combine both into a larger scene. In 1:72 scale it is a small yet very legible element that sets both the period and the place of a scene.
A gas station is a rewarding diorama subject, because it naturally gathers action around itself: a car arriving, a figure at the pump, barrels and boxes by a wall. The historic form suits road scenes of the first half and the middle of the 20th century, civilian buildings, a country crossroads and the support area of a workshop. It combines well with vehicles of the matching period and with other small things from this line.
Before gluing, think about the placement in relation to the road and the approach of a vehicle; with this prop the composition matters more than the detail. Level the mating surface by sanding, so that the pump does not stand crooked, and glue with cyanoacrylate glue. Build the painting on a saturated, slightly glossy finish, because period pumps tended to be strongly colored; contrast is then added by a dark wash in the edges and joints. Keep a hint of worn paint at the foot of the pump, on the edge of the housing and where the hose is handled. Do not invent lettering and logos; in 1:72 a colored band or a small area in a different shade is enough.
The accessory is supplied unpainted, as a part for a diorama. Paints, glue and a base are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
