Photo-etched parts in 1:72 scale for a model of the Vickers Wellington GR Mk.VIII bomber, listed under the manufacturer's part number 73704. The extent of the set is given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Vickers Wellington was a British twin-engine bomber that differed from its contemporaries in the framework of its fuselage: a lattice structure of light sections, covered with fabric, which stood up to damage that would have made an all-metal monocoque give way. The version designated GR served with coastal command for patrol work over the sea, that is, for long flights over water where what was asked of the crew was above all endurance and the ability to find the target.
These are photo-etched metal parts that replace the flat or simplified details of a plastic kit. Thin sheet metal allows what injected plastic cannot: a true thickness for the instrument panel, grilles cut right through, fine brackets and loops. The extent of the set and the kit it belongs to are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Separate the parts from the carrier sheet with a sharp blade on a hard mat, not by twisting them off, otherwise the edge bends and leaves a burr behind. Make the bends along the engraved score lines, ideally in a bending tool or between two blades, so that the edge comes out straight and sharp. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue in minute drops; solvent cement for plastic will not join metal. Before painting, degrease the parts and lay down a primer intended for metal, otherwise the paint will come off while they are handled.
The kit, paints, primer and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
