A set of miniature bottles for building dioramas, vignettes and display cabinets in 1:72 scale. It belongs to a complete line of household and farm equipment from the manufacturer, in which every subject comes out at the same time in 1:35, 1:48 and 1:72 scale; this set is the variant for 1:72.
Bottles belong in scenes that are meant to look lived in: an inn, a cellar, the broken interior of a house or a still life around a field kitchen. In 1:72 scale these are castings a few millimeters big, but from close up they decide whether a scene looks alive. They also work well as clutter at the edge of a diorama, where a larger object would draw attention away from the model.
Wash the parts in warm soapy water and cut the casting blocks off with a sharp scalpel; do not snap them. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue, and the gel version gives you time to seat them. The impression of glass comes from painting the bottle dark green or brown and, once dry, going over it with a gloss varnish; it is the sheen that makes the glass. Suggest the label with a thin strip of a light color, as legible printing makes no sense in this scale. Darken the recesses between the bottles with a wash, so that the group does not merge into one shape, and lighten the necks slightly instead.
It is neither a model nor a kit. Paints, glue and a base are not included in the package.
