An injection-molded plastic kit from the manufacturer Amodel (Ukraine) in 1:72 scale. The real subject is the Soviet X-20M guided missile with the NATO reporting name AS-3 Kangaroo. The package contains plastic sprues, instructions and decals; paints and glue are not included. It is a short-run kit.
The X-20 (also Kh-20) was a large Soviet air-to-surface guided missile of the late 1950s and the 1960s, carried by the Tu-95 strategic bomber. Its shape resembled a small unmanned aircraft, and it was deployed in the role of carrying a heavy warhead over long distances.
With a short-run kit, expect to clean off the flash and sand the joints down. Glue with thin cement for plastic and fill the fuselage seams. For the metal look of the missile body, primer suits the job, followed by metallic shades or shades resembling aircraft gray applied with an airbrush. Pick the details out with a delicate wash.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
