Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the American experimental carrier fighter Bell XFL-1 Airabonita in 1:72 scale from the Czech maker RS Models. It is a short-run kit with fine engraving, complete with decals for several marking options. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The XFL-1 Airabonita was developed alongside the land-based XP-39 Airacobra fighter and first flew in May 1940. It differed from its land-based counterpart mainly in its tailwheel landing gear and the radiators under the wings. It was powered by a liquid-cooled Allison V12. The machine failed its carrier trials and further development was stopped at the beginning of 1942.
As with any short-run kit, clean up the parts first and dry-fit them, and expect to work on the joints. Paint the cockpit and the interior before the fuselage is closed. Apply a primer and paint with an airbrush; the glossy surfaces of US Navy schemes benefit from a gloss coat under the decals.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
