An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet experimental Ye-152A interceptor in 1:72 scale from the Ukrainian company Modelsvit. It is a short-run kit with a fine surface, complemented by photo-etched parts and a decal sheet. The model is to be built and painted.
The Ye-152A was a Soviet experimental interceptor of the end of the nineteen-fifties which followed on from the Ye-150 series of prototypes. Unlike its single-engine siblings it was powered by a pair of jet engines. It served to verify the high-speed interceptor concept and remained at the prototype stage.
Short-run kits call for more careful cleaning up of the parts and dry-fitting the assembly before gluing. Use liquid cement on the joints and glue the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate. Apply a primer before painting and lay the shades on with an airbrush.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
