Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Japanese Mitsubishi A6M5 (Zero Model 52) carrier fighter in 1:72 scale from Hobby Boss. It belongs to the simplified Easy Assembly range with a low parts count, where the fuselage and the wing are formed by large one-piece sections and the cockpit glazing is one piece. That makes it a quick build that suits less experienced modelers as well. The box contains decals for two markings; the exact contents may differ between boxings.
The A6M5, the Model 52 version, was the most widespread variant of the famous Zero. It appeared in 1943 as an answer to the growing numbers and toughness of Allied fighters: it received revised, shortened wings, the Nakajima Sakae 21 engine and heavier armament. The Zero was known for exceptional agility and range, for which it paid with thin armor and unprotected tanks.
Cut the parts off the sprues and glue them with liquid cement for plastic; even on an easy build it pays to sand the fuselage joints. Paint the cockpit before closing it up. Apply the typical late Japanese naval scheme (dark green upper surface, light underside) with an airbrush over a primer and bring out the panel lines with a wash.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
