The German Tellermine 42 plate anti-tank mine of the Second World War in 1:35 scale, in the variant designated in the name by the number one.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Tellermine 42 is a German anti-tank mine of the Second World War. It has the shape of a flat circular plate with a pressure fuze in the middle of the lid and a handle on the side by which it was carried. It was laid in roadways, on verges and in improvised obstacles and was among the ordinary engineer stores; it was also often carried on the beds and decks of vehicles.
The accessory captures the mine in the form the name sets apart by the number one, and it is intended for 1:35 scale, that is for the same size in which vehicles and figures are built. It comes into its own as an object on its own in a scene and as part of the load on a vehicle alike.
Cut the surplus material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the rest with fine sandpaper. Wash and degrease the parts before painting; choose the glue according to the material of the parts and the manufacturer's directions. Choose a dark gray or a sand base according to the period and the battlefield. A flat lid benefits from fine wear: rubbed edges, a dark wash into the grooves and dry dust around the perimeter, so that the mine settles into the terrain it lies in.
It suits builders of dioramas with German vehicles and infantry who are looking for small accessories that say something. Working with them is quick and calls for no intervention in the kit itself. It will serve just as well as an accessory for a display case scene with engineer stores.
Paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
