It is not a model of a vehicle but a large stand-alone figure to be assembled and painted. The larger 1:16 scale allows well worked-out detail on the uniform, the face and the equipment; the figure comes with a base. For the exact contents go by the packaging.
The Republican Guard is part of the French gendarmerie. It carries out ceremonial and representative duties - it provides guards of honor on state occasions and takes part in security in the Paris region. Its members wear a striking uniform in historic style, which makes the figure a rewarding object for painting and for a display case.
Clean up the parts and join them with liquid cement for plastic, and sand the parting lines carefully - on a large figure they show clearly. Acrylic paints for figures suit the face and the uniform, with a dark wash in the folds and a dry brush on the raised areas.
