An injection-molded plastic kit of the Toyota 88C sports prototype in 1:24 scale, in a limited edition with the markings of the car in the colors of its Japanese sponsor. The finished model is about twenty centimeters long. It is supplied unpainted to be glued, and the decals are in the package.
The Toyota 88C belonged to Group C, the category of closed endurance prototypes that in the 1980s was among the peaks of motorsport. It was a development stage of the preceding type, and in 1988 the Japanese works team ran it in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, where it carried race number 36. Group C cars had a closed body with strong downforce, the intakes of a turbocharged engine along the sides and a floor shaped to pull the car down to the road. One thing needs watching on them: the machines differed in details and in lettering from race to race over the season, so the markings from the kit hold for a particular start, not for the whole year.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
