This is an injection-molded plastic kit of the historic American Model T 1913 Speedster sports car in 1:24 scale from ICM. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted as a full kit with an elaborate engine, interior and chassis. The Speedster was a lightened, sporting adaptation of the legendary Ford Model T from the beginning of the era of mass car production.
The Ford Model T of 1913 was among the cars that made the automobile available to broad layers of society. The Speedster version came about by lightening the standard car, removing the body and the superstructures so as to create a light, fast and sporting-looking machine. The tall wire wheels, the open frame and the simple seats are characteristic and still recall the beginnings of motoring today.
Glue the parts with thin modeling cement for plastic. The engine and the open chassis are visible on this car, so it pays to spend time on them, adding the plumbing and color accents. Bring the glossy painted surfaces of the body alive by spraying with an airbrush and polishing, and bring out the metal and brass items with metallics.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
