Wild Egg Girls — a 1/4-ton 4x4 utility truck with a figure in 1:24 from Hasegawa combines a plastic kit of an American wartime vehicle with a resin figure of the character Amy McDonnell.
Responsibility details are not available.
A plastic kit of the American 1/4-ton 4x4 light utility truck in 1:24 scale from the manufacturer Hasegawa, with a resin figure of the character Amy McDonnell from the Wild Egg Girls series added to it. Soft tires and decals are part of the package. It is therefore a combination of a classic vehicle model and a stylized figure, not a figure on its own.
The 1/4-ton 4x4 light utility truck, known as the jeep, was the most widespread liaison and reconnaissance vehicle of the US Army in the Second World War. A short wheelbase, all-wheel drive and a simple open body made it a universal machine for staffs, messengers, medics and weapon carriers. The vehicles drove on every front and after the war they spread into armies and into civilian use. The figure belongs to a series of stylized characters that the manufacturer issues alongside its ordinary automotive range.
Wash the resin figure in warm soapy water first so that no mold release agent is left on it, and cut the casting blocks off with a saw or a cutting disc. Glue the resin with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) and the body of the vehicle with ordinary cement for polystyrene. Apply the olive shade of the vehicle over a filler primer, and paint the soft tires a matte black only once they are fitted. Build up the flesh tones of the figure in thin layers; acrylic paints suit that best. Bring out the engraved detail of the instrument panel with a dark wash.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
