An injection-molded plastic kit in 1:35 scale from the Ukrainian maker ICM. The set contains a model of the light 2 cm Flak 38 antiaircraft gun and figures of its crew, so that a complete artillery scene can be built from the one box.
The 2 cm Flak 38 was a German light antiaircraft gun deployed from the second half of the war with the ground units of the Wehrmacht and the Luftwaffe alike. It served for defense against low-flying targets, but thanks to its high rate of fire it also found use against ground targets and lightly armored vehicles. A full crew consisted of several soldiers handling the aiming, the loading and the supply of ammunition.
Use thin cement for plastic and fine tools on the small parts of the mount and the sights. Assemble and paint the gun and the figures separately first; an airbrush and a base primer suit the camouflage shades. Patina and dust can be worked up with washes and pigments. Watch the correct position of the figures in relation to the gun.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
