The plastic kit 1:35 AH-1G Cobra (early production) from ICM. A model of the early form of the American Bell AH-1G Cobra attack helicopter.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the American Bell AH-1G Cobra attack helicopter in its early form from ICM in 1:35 scale. The package contains plastic sprues with the parts of the model, a decal sheet and instructions with color and marking schemes. The model captures the characteristic slim silhouette of the first purpose-built attack helicopter.
The Bell AH-1 Cobra was developed in the mid-1960s as the first helicopter designed directly for the attack role. Production AH-1Gs appeared in 1967 and soon went into combat in Vietnam. The early form carried a six-barrel Minigun in a turret under the nose; later a 40 mm automatic grenade launcher was added. The narrow fuselage with its tandem cockpit became iconic.
Take care over settling the cockpit glazing and over gluing the tail rotor boom accurately. Leave the rotor head and the blades until the end of the build for easier handling. Use a primer, an airbrush and fine weathering; service wear and exhaust staining will give the model a faithful look.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
