Responsibility details are not available.
The fighting in France in the spring of 1940 was decided within a few weeks. The German attack in the west began in May 1940, the main thrust was led through the wooded and hard-to-pass terrain of the Ardennes and the Allied front collapsed faster than anyone expected. The British Expeditionary Force withdrew through the port of Dunkirk, and the fighting in France was closed by the armistice signed in June 1940. For a modeler this is a period of colorful camouflage patterns and of hardware that differs markedly from the later years of the war.
It is a set put together around one theme, not an individual model. Among ground hardware and figures, 1:35 scale is the most widespread, so the contents can be supplemented with further elements in the same scale without trouble. What exactly the package holds, and in what numbers, is given in the data of the maker.
Lay the arrangement out on a base first and glue only afterward; in a multipart scene the composition decides more than an individual detail. Unify all the elements with a common tone of base, dust and earth, or the scene looks as if it had been put together from different sources. The shades of the subjects and the printing variants are given in the instructions of the maker.
Paints, glue, putty and a base for the scene are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
