A set of photo-etched slings for rifles, carbines and submachine guns, complemented with buckles, in 1:35 scale. It is not a model but an accessory. A weapon without a sling looks like a toy both on a figure and in a rack, whereas a sling slung over it or hanging loose gives it credibility at once. The photo-etched material is thin enough to be made to sag and to twist.
Cut the parts out of the fret with a sharp blade on a hard surface; do not snap them off. Shape the sling over a round object or with tweezers so that it sags naturally, and only then glue it. It is glued with cyanoacrylate in a minute amount. Degrease the parts before painting and apply a base coat. Paint the leather sling brown and the buckle in a metal shade; the difference of materials is what sells the detail.
A sling looks better when it is bent in two or three places rather than the same way along its whole length.
The set contains photo-etched parts only. Glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
